It was only a matter of time until 3D technology reached the gaming world. In an effort to beat everyone else to the punch, Nintendo has released the new NDS to support 3D technology. But, don't misconstrue it's visually appealing design for being flimsy or not durable. Instead, it's quite the opposite. The engineering department at Nintendo has created the strongest, most durable DS yet, by making modifications to the Nintendo DS Lite.

One complaint regarding the predecessor was that the hinges would crack, leaving many gamers annoyed and frustrated as fixing their stranded system was a pain and sending back was not necessarily the better of the two evils. Nintendo heard the cries and took this into account, reinforced the casing, and tweaked the design giving the 3DS more playability and durability at the same time not sacrificing the aesthetics of this system.

Another important aspect of the changes in design is that the device is now much sturdier in the event of a drop, not that we recommend you testing it! By altering the internal circuit system, it can now stand more shock from impact, though it is still a gaming device and should always be handled with care. Again ladies and gentlemen, please do not try this at home.

The new 3DS is impressive in every way, and has a highly anticipated release. Nintendo is planning a global release in March, distributing the system to America, Europe, and Australia with the rest of the world following soon after or on the date. Its sturdiness has been relatively missed in terms of important features. Gamers are more interested in features such as the 3D effects being created without wearing special eyewear. Also that is you can adjust, turn on or off, the 3D anywhere, anytime, with very little effort. Gamers are more interested in having a beautiful and sleek interface with easy to use controls and ergonomic aspects to make the gaming experience effortless as well as entertaining. Saying this Nintendo knows that if the system cracks or is easily damaged, it will affect the user experience and is a pre-mediated attempt to make sure the user experience is created in not only what does happen to the system but also limiting what doesn't.

In many cases in the past, when a system has hyped to this degree, the product fails to deliver in several ways, but we do not believe that this is the case when it comes to the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has truly stepped up and taken personal gaming systems to another level, and the results are very impressive.
