When the 3DS was announced for release, many were curious about the gaming titles it would be showcasing. Promising games are already coming forward, including one from Majesco. "Renegade Kid's Face Kart: Photo Finish" looks to capitalize on the revolutionary quality of the 3DS's capabilities. Allowing users to create characters and race tracks with 3D cameras is only the beginning of the eye candy. Gyroscope technology in the hand held it will allow users to tilt left and right, controlling the gaming experience. We've come a long way since creating race tracks with Nintendo's "ExciteBike", haven't we?
Another intriguing title is "Pet Zombies". This concept, from 1st Playable Productions allows gamers to create and nurture zombie pets. Success in this arena will garner currency points that the player can then use to purchase goodies for their pet and the "environment" it exists in.
Something to consider when looking at the game title pedigree and scope for the Nintendo 3Ds is the fact that games of all genres are catered for. Calling on popular titles like the Resident Evil series, "Dead or Alive" and "Rabbids", Nintendo is ensuring that they are offering options that gamers of all types will enjoy. Further, to spice things up, Nintendo is also re-releasing vintage "Game Boy" style games such as Pac-Man and Galaga that can be played on the 3DS console. This demonstrates the fact that Nintendo has every intention of releasing the 3Ds to establish authority in the portable gaming market by bursting back into the fray with major fire power. Also the ability to play core gaming titles as well as more casual and retro games means that no genre of gamer will be alienated and that the Ninendo 3Ds is for every game.
The 3D craze is reaching new levels with the release of Nintendo's 3DS. As we see film, televisions, and now gaming systems utilizing it, the sky seems to be the limit in regards to where we can go from here. The console development race is heating up, and Nintendo has fired the first shot. All in all, with great titles, and intriguing concepts, it seems that the engineers of the 3DS have truly created a monster.
This is not to say that the 3DS won't be without stiff competition. The European market has its own player in the form of Euro Sport, another hand held 3D gaming system, will be releasing an array of sporting games as well. However what we do know is that Nintendo has done its best to cover all bases when it comes to their new system. Everything from the system's strength and sturdiness, though to interface, to design and of course its ability to provide the best 3D graphics sans glasses we have ever seen, Nintendo looks to have it covered with the 3Ds.
