Caps have traveled a long and winding road to the evolution of its present state in urban fashion from its very humble beginnings, a prominent urban fashion statement. Now caps tend to be as much of a part of a person's fashion statement as a purse or shoes. With plenty to choose from and ease of use, caps are the idea accessories for many urban, suburban and rural dwellers alike.

Wikipedia gives the history of caps as, "Caps are generally soft and often have no brim or just a peak (like on a baseball cap). For many centuries women wore a variety of head-coverings which were called caps." Not very many people realize that Caps were originally the exclusive domain of women, and now it appears that the vast majority of people that where headgear such as caps are ironically men.

In more urban areas blue collar working men were at one time the primary users of caps. Now no longer the primary domain of the working class, caps are routinely worn by men and women from every walk of life, geographical location and social standing. No longer view by the populace as an article for working in, caps have found a place and mainstream urban society as a regular part of many wardrobes.

Unfortunately many men find this particular article of clothing to be "not their style" when it comes to everyday ware, not realizing how a proper cap can actually add that extra pop to what would have been an ordinary ensemble. Even the most non-fashion conscious person can utilize a cap to give their ordinary everyday ware that extra pop.

Sports caps are very popular and worn pretty regularly in and out of sports venues. You will be hard pressed to go to a professional sporting venue and not find a staunch fan of a particular team with appropriate team had, jacket and banner. Many of these items are frequently sold in the actual sports facilities to devoted fans of a particular sport teams.

Sports Jerseys are also a mainstay of the typical urban ensemble, having gained such popularity that an entire industry has sprung up around just Jerseys. There are some individuals that have actually taken to collecting jerseys and keeping them as collectors' items, sometimes even having them professionally mounted and framed. There are entire trade communities that deal in sports jerseys, and to wear some of these items in urban areas is often considered a badge of honor.

There is also a vibrant community of people that collect and trade in Trainers as well. Some individuals (usually males) will have an extensive collection of shoes that they may never wear because they purchased them for aesthetics purposes only. When shoes are worn by people who collect, usually they have purchased two pairs and the ones that you see on their feet are also in their collection of shoes that they will never wear.

It is almost impossible to watch a television show that profiles young urban professional entertainers without seeing them show off their collection of sneakers and jerseys. These individuals will more than likely be wearing their shoes and jerseys, just not as frequently as the individual that only has two or three of them and have to keep them in heavy rotation. Having a few of each of these items in coordinated colors will usually take a person through a week of daily wear.

A Kango Cap is generally worn for headgear as well as style. These tend to be worn more for going to and from the office or going out on the town for a casual evening. Kangos like most, come in a multitude of colors and fabric textures, and are usually very easy to integrate into the average wardrobe. Every so often in the course of time men rediscover the many varied uses of the Kango and integrate them into their wardrobes for daily wear. Long considered the official hat of men in the arts such as writers artist and musicians, the Kango is without a doubt a must have item in the wardrobe of any urban dweller that desires to wear what they wear with a little style.
