If you think about it, almost everything in this planet can be bought with money. Money has become really powerful in our society. It is an acceptable medium of exchange to acquire products or services that we want or need. For many people, money is everything. Some people believe that having a lot of money can bring them the ultimate happiness and satisfaction in their life. While it is true that money do provide some sort of security, happiness and instant satisfaction most will agree that this kind of happiness doesn't last forever. Unfortunately money has the power to control the mind, hearth and soul of an individual. How sad it is to know that kind of reality.
Most people will work all their life to earn money, while some will create a business and sell products or services to produce money and others will invest their save money in order to grow it. In moments of really desperation or an emergency, some people would pawn their valuable belongings such as jewelry, tv's, computers, etc to obtain instant cash. Some of them would sell even their properties including their house or car in order for them to get money fast. The worst thing of all is that some people will even steal, risk their own life and dignity by committing crimes to get money. The point is that some people are willing to do anything for a piece of paper we call "money". How ironic.
The reality is that we do need money, but that doesn't mean that money is the main reason for our existence. Our planet and everything in it is just too big and complex to embrace a piece of paper as the most important thing in our world. There are other factors that can create much more fulfillment than money. These are; our family, our friends, and even our belongings. These are factors more valuable than money because they can help us grow from the inside out and being us real happiness in our lives. Money is just a piece of paper, it was created for our convenience, and it should be used for good. It was created for us to control it; not the other way around.
Money is good but loving it makes it bad. We can work hard to earn more money. We can sell our properties and our other belongings to have money in case of emergencies. Money is indeed important, but it is not everything.
