However, don't expect your TV to show the same resolution as your computer because the resolution for these two devices is different. Computers use pixels for their resolution while TV uses 500 lines. Additionally, do not expect your TV video amplifiers to handle higher resolutions. TV sets can only handle 640x480 resolution at the maximum. If you really want your TV to have higher resolution, it's a good idea to use an HDTV adapter.
