The experience needed for these slopes are more of the intermediate and advanced nature. There are not many beginner slopes at all. The skiing area is predominantly stretched out into long cruiser type runs. The ski spot has six slalom stadiums, one mogul field, two half pipes, sixty-seven runs, and one snow park. Also, the resort has a multitude of snow cannons. This location is known for its massive array of runs and their fabulous lifts.
There are four separate skiing spots at Tignes. There is the Grande Motte, Toviere, Brevieres, and the Palet. The resort portion sits at (6,890 feet) and expands to (11,319 feet). The high altitude provides a means for high-quality snow coverage with regular snowfalls of the classic dry and light powder. When on the lift, there are amazing views to be had. You have the option to pick the route down to best enjoy the snow.
Tignes is split into a number of villages. Val Claret is closer to the funicular location giving access to the glacier. There is also Tignes-Le-Lac and adjoining Le Lavachet.
