So, I woke up early on Monday morning and decided to take a look at my stats on EZA. While checking out my stats I noticed that they now offer a level higher than Platinum Author, which is the previous highest level one could achieve.
I was excfited, so I sent a quick message to EZA support staff to find out how I could attain the new level. Seeing as Platinum was easy for me to reach, I figured I'd be a sure thing for the new level! Yeah, not so much.
The first email I received was from one of the reviewers and it gave me a list of things I needed to do in order to be eligible for the Diamond level.
Essentially, what they sent me is the following, which was to apply to all of my EZA pen names:
1. Each pen name needed its own extended bio filled out.
2. Pen names each need a picture.
3. Default resource boxes must be in place for all pen names.
The list above didn't seem like such a big deal to me, so I went to work on completing the list. With everything in my account spit shined, I replied to support letting them know I was ready for inspection
I went about my business happy as a clam, expecting a nice upgrade email to Diamond very soon. Reaching Platinum was easy for me- actually made it within my first 10 submissions- obviously this was more than an avocation for me.
About an hour later I log in to my account to check my messages and I see that my account is suspended! Er, um, what? This had to be a joke, right?
After calming down a bit, I asked support what exactly the issue was.
They left me hanging all day yesterday without a response. Then today it seemed like it was going to be the same thing, but I got a message around 3:00 pm that told me what the problem is.
For a time I was a PLR writer and I have my own PLR website, although it hasn't been updated in about 4 or 5 months. The main bio section mentioned my site and EZA jumped on this as the reason. This is what the EZA reviewer said to me:
" Your account has been suspended because the link http://PLRAuthority.com is included in your Author Bio.
We do not accept any promotion of PLR articles whatsoever. Please remove this from your bio.
Once it has been removed, please let us know and we will review your account."
So there you have it! You are not allowed to mention PLR in any way, shape or form! But really guys, wouldn't it have been much easier just to have me reomve the link and save me the heartburn?
As they say, "But wait, there's more"!
Figuring it's about time for an update on my bio section anyway, I made it more to their liking and more representative of my actual business. Then I email the reviewer again and let her know I made the changes.
I get a response around 4:30 pm. At last, they have reinstated my account!
Woo- hoo!
Once again I'm back to being on an even keel!
Yeah right!
They decided to make it tough on me! I guess this is how they roll. This site definitely frustrates me at times!
My penance wound up being busted down a rank- not only that but they also want ten more articles to get my old rank back!
This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Seriously?
There was never any doubt that I could write well enough. That has never been an issue for the 1 year + that I've had the account.
So why do they feel the need to drop me to Basic PLUS for a non-writing related "error"?
This is completely ridiculous if you ask me. I just don't get it.
I'm not sure if I'm going to play along with them- this is highly unfair!
With the Farmer update, their site is less valuable anyway.
So do they deserve to have access to my original, well written content?
What choice do I have?
