Well what a question to ask! What would I look like skinny? Having heard this question a few times from people I wanted to expand on this subject slightly and try to get other peoples opinion as there can be a few different answers to this question. On the first face value of the question the thoughts were a little difficult to try and put together. Obviously this depended on what the person looked like at the time, any weight issues or are there any medical considerations we should take into account within answering the question. It may seem like a straight forward question and answer for some but after a stroll in the park I could not get the question out of my own head.
Throughout the years of meeting people there have been two of which spring to mind, who have dreamed of the day when they would look thin or skinny and throughout the years they managed to reach their dream. Either that being through medical and operation channels or through other dieting and nutritional guidelines. The astonished looks on peoples faces is a picture when you see the actual photographs. The infamous before and after photo shots and it is unbelievable the difference from 20 stone to 8 and to be honest absolutely amazing with total admiration for people that achieve this.
Weight issues are a huge problem all over the world and some people really are not to blame for this. There could be many medical reasons why there are larger and I don't want to put any difficult context in this writing as it is a sore and very delicate subject for some.
There are medical advances which can help people in these situations with also will power and determination.
The people mentioned earlier where lucky enough to be at a young age to be able to do something about their dream which would totally transform theirs lives. With this in mind as we get older we do seem to set into a routine and metabolisms slow down. But there is hope that through the right people teaching us the techniques to help us including specifying dietary requirements, exercise and really taking control upon ourselves on what we are actually eating.
One of the other sides of the question was really kind of shocking as again if due to an illness or any medical problems we are unable to stop ourselves from becoming 'skinny' what do we do? This sensitive side really came out from the question as we do not know what is going to face us as we get older and face all the challenges in life. There are people with eating disorders which affect them and going maybe below the size zero is really a frightening experience or an objective they would like to fulfill at the time. So the question can really be expanded in different ways of thinking and feelings towards the subject.
The third thought on the question was a slight humorous element including the amazing advances in technology and imaging software which can show you exactly what you look like if you were 'skinny' or thinner and it can even trim a bit off the sides. This image could help a lot of people in their own aims and goals to become if I could say a slightly thinner person than their former self.
It would be good to get other peoples views on this as it kind of got me going and wanted to write more about people in general and problems concerning weight.
