As you may already saw, the price in auction house is extremely high. So why don't we turn this into our own advantage. Wool Cloth farming is not an easy task, there is no one place with big drops. That's why it sells good and for big amount of money. I traveled across the Azeroth, checking the best way to get a lot of Wool fast. I came across three places which satisfied me. Let me show you these places that are worth to check.
First of all, let me mention that Wool Cloth drops from Humanoids ranged from level 14 to 36. Now to the 3 best places to farm it:
Wool Cloth farming places:
Wetlands: Find the "Mosshide Gnolls". They are in the southern part of Wetlands. The drop rate is around 35%. But the main reason for Wool Cloth farming at this place is that the respawn time of these Gnolls is extremely low, so you can literally be there and farm indefinitely.
If you are Alliance, you really want to go to Stockades dungeon in Stormwind. There are only humanoids mobs and the drop rate is very high. They are of course elite mobs, but since you are farming with a high level character (80-85), it really isn't a problem.
If you are not that lucky, and you are on the Horde side:), you want to visit Deadmines dungeon. It is located in western part of Westfall. There are also only Humanoid mobs and drop Wool Cloth frequently.I found out that these tree places gives you around the same amount of Wool Cloth per hour. So it is up to you where to go. If you are an Enchanter I recommend doing either Stockades or Deadmines, because besides Wool Cloth farming you get also a lot of green items to disenchant. And of course everytime you farm something, make sure you go with your highest level character (80-85 recommended). So don't waste your time killing the mobs. You should be able to one-shot the mob. Time is money, right:) Oh and of course - clear your bags, before you go anywhere!
Anyway, Wool Cloth farming may be one of the means to earn gold in World of Warcraft. But after I got a copy of CATACLYSM GOLD SECRETS EXPOSED, I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. You just need to know all the tricks.;) I warmly recommend it to you.
