The net is rapidly becoming a less private place. If you've ever entered your own personal name into Google, then you've probably seen that the Internet has archived a considerable amount of your life. Conversations with other people, private data as well as pictures that were once reserved for your private use are now publicly available to anyone with a computer and Internet connection.

Now, you're probably already conscious of this and have to some degree come to grips with the fact that your life is no longer as private as it once was. However, it's also likely that there's far more information available about yourself than you think. Many people are not aware of the footprint they leave online and how people who have bad intentions can take advantage.

Each and every time you get on the Internet, you're assigned an IP address. Short for Internet protocol, your IP address is best thought of as a phone number. Consists of 12 digits separated into groups of three, information sent from the web to you is directed to this number. Your IP address is exclusive to you, and allows anyone who knows it to discover your local area.

Even more difficult, a person with the technical know-how can use your IP address to attempt to access your pc or home network. Depending on the strength of your security, this could allow an outsider access to your very own files, passwords, e-mail and a whole bunch of other things you would not want at the disposal of a hacker. In short, this information in the wrong hands can mean some very bad things.

How could a hacker get ahold of your Ip? Unfortunately, it's not nearly as difficult as you might think. Your IP can be accessed by each and every website you visit and is attached to every single e-mail you send. Thankfully for those of us who are concerned with securing our personal information and computers, there's filter shekan software.

What does the application do? Also known as a "proxy server," filter shekan allows you to camouflage your IP address. Simply put, all of the information traveling to and from the web through your computer passes through another computer elsewhere online. This will cause all places where your IP address would normally be shown to display the IP address of the proxy instead.

As a result of this procedure, your IP address is only known to the provider of the filter shekan. Given that is a trusted source, you are protected against unauthorized parties getting access to it, and you're able to reclaim quite a bit of your lost privacy. Which means anyone wanting to locate you or your computer will instead be led in a totally incorrect direction. Upon realizing this, the majority of hackers and information thiefs will understand it to be a lost cause, and move on to a less complicated target.

Wanting to hide your IP information from others on the Internet is not being paranoid. In reality, it is just about the most easy and effective things you can do to maintain your privacy and anonymity online. Ask anyone who's ever been a victim of identity theft and they will more than likely tell you that it was a nightmare and they wished they had taken precautions using filter shekan beforehand.
