. Northern Alberta Institute of Technology-Students are trained in both disciplines of medical laboratory and X-rays. Students are trained to serve mainly rural community health clinics.

. Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology offers a combined laboratory and X-ray technology. The program helps students develop skills in radiological technologies and electrocardiography and general medical laboratory procedures.

Full-time study programs in this area usually cost $ 10 000 per year on average. This amount, however, only includes the tuition and fees determined. Cost of books, supplies are extra.

Things to be careful

Although it is a very lucrative field, the X-ray technician training involves certain risks to be avoided as much as possible.

. It is best to avoid online degree and diploma programs, or make promises that are too acceptable to be true. These are often scams more burns a hole in your pocket and you're left with a handful of dust.
