The much awaited time for all fanatics of Warcraft has come. The newest expansion of World of Warcraft called Cataclysm is released to bring more excitement to all of us. "There can be no peace when the world itself is devoured by rage, " the trailer proclaimed. "The world will never be the same". As Blizzard Entertainment proclaimed, this 3rd expansion will change the world of Azeroth literally. This newest expansion will show how the game world transformed by a geological rift and strife between the games factions. Cataclysm will take you back to the original lands that consumed our life for the first three or so years of World of Warcraft releases.
Cataclysm will return players to the two continents of Azeroth for most of their campaigning, after years away in Outland and Northend. The Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom are transformed. The Green Main Wall that fortifies the entrance to the human kingdom of Gilneas has been shattered There will be new zones such as Mount Hyjlal, the Vashj'ir, Uldum, Deepholm and Twilight Highlands. Mount Hylai, the scene of climatic battle from Warcraft III appears in World of Warcraft, despite having sort of been in the game for five years now. The world Tree and Hyjlal are under siege by fiery bad guy Ragnaros, who's upset of being in the pane of fire. But Malfurion Stormrage has awakened from Emerald Dream and he is not also happy what is going on either. Twilight Highlands are now the home of Twilight Hammers, a cult from the original World of Warcraft which has gained a lot of strength now that it becomes the Deathwing's caretaker. Deepholm, the elemental plane of earth, where Deathwing originally called home and this zone will be a hub with portals to all other new high-level zones of Cataclysm. The Sunken City of Vashj'ir is the Lady Vash's home before sundering and this place is out of middle of the ocean and last but not the least, the Uldom. A hidden zone west of Tanaris with an Egyptian desert-like theme. This zone was hidden by Titan Illusion in the past and rumored to conceal a super weapon and also the home of the new, stone-like Tol'vir people.
There will be new races: the goblins of the Bilgewater Cartel from the isle of Kezan for the Horde and the worgen from the legendary kingdoms of Gilneas for the Alliance. The new alliance race worgen are once-human residents Gilneas who decide to seal themselves off from the encroachments of the scourge with a big stone wall. Meantime, a Gildean wizard try to summon an occult defence against the Undead but unfortunately, infected his own people with the curse, turning them to werewolves. The Horde's new race, the goblins hail from an island kingdom and were displaced from their happy tropical home by the emergence of Deathwing. These are not the goblins that live in Ratchet and Gadgetzan, those are still neutral and willing to profit from both factions. The playable Horde goblins have reluctantly joined up with the orcs and trolls out of necessity. New levelling zones are added for these new races including Gilneas, Isles of Kezan and Lost Isles. Flying Mounts, an immortal struggle for dominance turns to one mere survival is finally usable in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom. A new secondary profession is introduced named, Archaelogy which unearth valuable artifacts and earn unique rewards. These are just some of the features of Cataclysm that will bring us to another level of excitement.
The highlight of this expansion is the return of Dragon Aspect Deathwing the Destroyer, formerly known as the ancient guardian Neltharion of the Earth Warder whose fiery arrival from Deepholm, the elemental plane of earth, causes a massive worldwide catastrophe known as The Shattering. Deathwing has waited from the wounds of his last battle against Azeroth and biding his time until the he can forge the world in molten fire. Soon, Deathwing the Destroyer will return to Azeroth, and his eruption from Deepholm will sunder the world, leaving a festering wound across the continents.
As the Horde and Alliance race to the epicentre of the cataclysm, the kingdoms of Azeroth will witness seismic shifts in power, the kindling of a war of the elements, and the emergence of unlikely heroes who will rise up to protect their scarred and broken world from utter devastation. Each of us must be prepared what will happen to the Azeroth when Deathwing returns to make his revenge.
