The use of interval training can work in swimming. What happens here is you will swim at a comfortable pace and then swim at faster rates during short periods of time. After one of these periods end you can go back to a slower rate. This can help you to increase your strength in the pool and your ability to maintain your strength. After a while you can extend the time periods used for fast swimming.

Working with the same stroke pattern for multiple laps at a time can help as well. With this it will be easier for you to figure out what you can do for getting your body to be properly capable of handling certain strokes without wasting too much energy. In fact with these consistent movements it can be easy to tone muscles that are used for swimming. This will increase the endurance that you have.

You can even add to the number of laps that you swim every day to help you with improving your endurance. You can start by swimming ten laps on one day and then twenty the next and eventually move up to fifty laps in one day. Gradually increasing the number of laps you have can help because over time you will be more likely to handle more laps in one workout. This can help you to feel more used to the water and more likely to endure a workout as a result.

Finally you should look to focus on the breathing that is done in the pool. You should work with a calm pattern where you will be able to gently breathe when your head is above the water. Keeping a steady breathing pattern can help you to keep from being tired and to be more likely to handle more laps at a time in a swimming pool.

Be sure to use these tips for improving your endurance in the swimming pool. It is easy to help improve the skills that you have in the pool while being able to stay strong for a longer period of time in the pool.
