I think improving conversion rates is the biggest issue for a lot of websites right now. There is a lot of opportunity to improve the conversion of just the home page alone. Website owners who think their customers need nothing more than a few images and buy now button are in for a big surprise! I think what is missing most of all at most sites I view are lack of customer service. What is wrong with being nice to someone? I believe that if you are kind to someone, then there is a good chance they will come back and tell their friends.
I'll try to give as comprehensive of an overview as I can without knowing more specific details about your product and customers.
1. First impressions count a lot when people make decisions about things and on the internet people make decisions very quickly on 'how a website looks'
2. To improve your conversion rate you need to increase the amount of targeted traffic to your website.
3. I would recommend displaying a contact link above the fold, so that people can easily find and view your contact details.
4. The images of the Top Selling Products do not look clickable. It is not clear what you want your visitor to do from this page.
5. Color can have quite an effect on people's perception of 'how things look'
6. There is no eye flow to the page. The Top selling product images are drawing your eye in skipping past any and all messaging.
7. You need to think like a consumer yourself to understand their experiences with your website. You can do this by placing an order on your site. Try to identify the technical hitches, confusing or missing components that you feel might act as hindrances to your conversions.
8. Too many distractions on the page. A better approach would be to use images of product categories to get them to a product quicker. Rather than top selling products try top product categories.
9. Keep the sales path(s) on your website simple and straightforward. Make navigation form different "paths" to a sale point smooth. The less confusing the sales process, the lesser resistance visitors will show.
10. Offer tips, advice reviews etc. Offer prices for customers telling their friends and stuff like that. This will increase digital brand awareness and get you more conversions, in time.
Finally, regularly chart your online progress and review it to judge your performance in the market.
