Of all the things a husband does not argue with his wife is with the remodeling of the kitchen. If the garage is the husband's domain in any home, it is the kitchen where the wife has absolute say and absolute power. The kitchen is perhaps the most used of all rooms in the home. It is the center point, the command post of where all things happen and perhaps all decisions are made.
When my wife decided to redo the kitchen, I agreed without hesitation and apart from discussing the budget—which meant that she gave me more or less an idea what she wanted to do and I agreed to fund it, the remodeling started. My wife knew exactly what she wanted, a workable kitchen that was both modern in its appliances but not too picturesque so as it would not be used. In the end, we had an eclectic set of kitchen door knobs, one for every drawer in the kitchen.
