The Nokia E7 was first announced last September, and after many months, in February, it became available in some Countries in europe. Now the long-awaited smartphone has at last arrives to the U.S.!
The Nokia E7 is positioned as an ultimate business smartphone that will give you an easy access to e-mail; it will also make your work with office documents and PDF files much simpler, give you fast and secure access to intranet and be helpful in many other daily tasks. The smartphone runs using Symbian^3 OS; it features a 4 inch touchscreen based on the ClearBlack technology that improves the outdoor visibility, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 8 MP camera with dual LED flash that can take high-resolution photos and HD videos.
The Nokia USA online store sells it for $679 now, but Amazon offers it a bit cheaper - for $649. Maybe the price is a bit high, but the Nokia E7 appears to be a really cool phone, so maybe it's worth it? Anyway, it's up to you to decide.
As for the release of the Nokia E7 in other countries, the smartphone is already available in the Philippines. The pre-orders started in Europe (in Sweden and Finland, to be precise) long ago, in the middle of January. As for the UK, the smartphone was to get to the first quarter of 2011, or even earlier, in the end of 2010. Several days ago it at last became available for pre-order from the Nokia E7 page.
There is no information about other markets yet, but let's hope they'll will also get this business smartphone soon enough. The Nokia E7 became obtainable in the U.S. two days ago. Users could get it from Nokia's online store, but its price was too high, $679. Now Amazon decided to give you a $30 of discount, so the handset is available in the U.S. for $649.
Though you can say $30 is not that much, I think for the first day $30 is pretty decent. The E7 is available with free shipping so you can get it from Amazon if you are in the U.S.
We don't discover how many units Nokia is going to sell in the U.S., but the price is quite affordable and I guess the device can succeed. And we can confidently say the E7 is the next flagship of the company after the Nokia N8, but if the last one was criticized too mush, I haven't heard any real controversial ideas related to the Nokia E7. If you doubt my words, I have to mention its most valuable features. The phone is equipped with a 4-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16 GB storage, 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, but unfortunately there is no card slot to expand the memory. The Nokia E7 captures with an 8MP camera that is located on the back of the device, but you can also find a secondary camera on the back of it for video calling.
The only features you can be dissatisfied with are Symbian^3 and the 680MHz processor, but in spite of such features we must say it is a high-end smartphone designed for businessmen. So I'll recommend you to get it now from Nokia's online shop or from Amazon.
