Painting a vehicle well is what makes the whole design look precisely as if it was done by a professional. So before beginning shade and paint ensure that you are pleased with the vehicles lines so far, because when you start paint and shade it'll be really tough to switch any lines. So if you're certainly sure, then let's start shading the auto. One giant tip here is that you start at the higher left corner ( or higher right corner if you are left-handed ).
This is as it lowers the risk of the vehicle paintings to get all untidy. So start from the higher corner! Think about how you want the whole painting to look, try and get a picture of it and then you start slowly adding with your pencil this to the background. If you'd like reference stills then go a head and get those, these will help you not to screw up to much on the background proportions. Don't begin with the darkest area, instead start coloring the lighter area of the background of you car paintings, and then go to the darker areas continuously.
Then when the higher corner is done, then start moving the center area of the automobile painting and continue with that area and then next and the like.
A trick for making the vehicle look very well shaded is to exaggerate the contrast. Same goes with the different shades on the car, going from dark to light, be totally certain to actually make the dark areas dark and the light areas light. And do not forget to take some breaks from your vehicle paintings, don't rush it and try and get it all done within an hour or so. Take 5 after an hour or so and then come back later and you can probably spot some tiny mistakes that you didn't see while you were doing them! And my last tip is the most vital one : be certain to have fun!
