The 11.6 inch carries the 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor while the 13 inch carry the 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. So, the 13 inch is slightly better in processor performance in comparison with the 11.6 inch model. The processor is good sufficient to encode movies and quick enough on opening applications.
For the graphic cards, the Macbook Air comes with the NVIDIA 320M graphic card. This graphic adapter is pretty good for playing games however don't count it on to play the most recent 3D games with this graphic card because it s not that powerful but it's good enough for graphic designing, creating HD videos and in addition it's more than enough for watching films in High Definition.
The Macbook Air comes with glossy display which will be very annoying when used outdoors. The glossy display will trigger reflection on the display screen and making it harder for you to see what on the display however when used to watch movies indoor, the glossy display is superb.
The battery energy of the Macbook is also good because it could last for 5-7 hours which is fairly good in my opinion. However when used for video editing or Photoshoping, the battery may only last for about 2 hours or less.
For the storage, the Macbook Air come with all flash storage starting from 64GB as much as 256GB flash storage. The benefit of flash storage is, it's quicker than regular hard drive and additionally it is quieter.
Because it's slim, the Macbook Air doesn't carry a DVD drive just like the Macbook Pro so, external DVD drive is required.
