Something I read today that struck me as... important. Something to meditate on.
We're to look for Him in the empty space between angels wings, the place of not knowing, where all our conditioning and old knowledge can be set aside and we can encounter the Mystery directly, face to face.
Dont' look for the sacred in external forms or in what you think you know.
Revelation - the voice of guidance-can't be reduced to dogma, confined to houses of worship, or known by the rational mind alone. Guidance arises instead from an attitude of humble, curious attention - when you empty yourself of what you think you know and enter (a) heartful state of receptivity.
This is from a book I picked up at a thrift store a month ago. (My shelves are packed with books such as these. Learning, always learning!)
The book is called Your Soul's Compass. This passage reminded me how I feel when I'm reading for others. I put myself into this open, trusting place that is nowhere special and everything all at once. I open myself and let go of all I have "learned" to be rational and just let the messages come through for the people who come to seek answers.
This gift has nothing to do with me. It isn't about ego or me at all. It's all about delivering the right message at the right time to the person who is ready to look for it.
Does this passage resonate with you in any way today? If so, I'm glad to have shared it.
