Lower back pain can be very painful and can almost render the person from completing daily things that used to be of no concern, however, there is a way to relieve this pain and this is through doing stretches for lower back pain. These stretches are meant to help loosen the muscles in the lower back and make it to where the person is no longer having to deal with the pain on a daily basis. This involves the person getting onto their hands and knees, then slowly arching the back as a cat would do when they stretch. Another stretch that many people have found effective is those stretches that stretch the hamstrings. Why is this? Simply because many people are having lower back pain due to the muscles in their legs not being able to bend with the person. Consider the fact that when a shoe hurts the foot that most people feel this in their back, the same can be said of stiff and inflexible muscles. For this stretch the person simply needs to sit down with one leg stretched out to the side, the other leg tucked up close to them. Grab the foot and lean over stretch the hamstrings and the person is also going to feel the lower back being stretched out as well. Most people refer to this as a common runner's stretch. And find that doing this in the morning before they go to work or even begin their day is one way in which they reduce the back pain that they feel throughout the day.
When lower back pain is what makes the day pass by slowly and painfully, then the person must make sure that they are doing whatever they can in order to eliminate it. There is no need to take medications or use ice packs when stretches for lower back pain can be implemented to solve the problem.
