Our little greenhouse permits us to plant vegetables and fresh flowers all year and protects them from the weather and the bugs. As greenhouses are limited in space, you want to choose the flowers and vegetables that give a high yield. I have tried to depict those below.
Snapdragons:
Depending on the variety, Snapdragons raise 2 to 3 feet tall and create an attractive cut flower. Cooler temperature is appropriate for their growth. So as a winter production in the greenhouse Snapdragons may be a perfect choose. If you want to produce it in summer you have to provide shade to protect it from burning afternoon sun.
Patio Tomatoes:
In the limited space of the little greenhouse a patio tomato grows well. Growing Tomatoes in the greenhouse, tomato plants create best if daytime temperatures stay less than 90 degrees F and nighttime temperatures stay more than 55 degrees F. Patio tomatoes produce their crop more than a period of six to eight weeks. They can be taken away after production close down and replaced with one more type of plant.
Carrots:
Carrots should get a consideration for planting in greenhouse because it takes up less space than any other vegetables with an extra facility of their production of edible portion under the ground. Carrots only demand to be spaced only 2 to 3 inches at a distance but must deep, slack soil to generate a high-quality carrot harvest.
Peppers:
Pepper is another green fit for greenhouse cultivation. It grows most excellent if provided a little defense from the hottest daylight sun. Producing as long as the plants don't freeze, most pepper varieties cultivate to a highest of 36 inches tall and peppers need to be planted 18 inches separately in rows 24 inches to one side.
Lettuce:
Lettuce can be selected as a popular green that is normally used fresh in salads for the greenhouse planting. It can be produced by cutting the each and every leave from the plants as soon as the plants get a height of 3 to 4 inches. Until the plant matures and harvest the total plant by cutting at the foot with a sharp knife you may late if you want. A mature lettuce plant will take up about 6 square inches of space of greenhouse to rise properly. You can keep it in your list.
I am sure that I will get plenty of comments telling me that there are a lot more plants that can be grown in a greenhouse, but just from a personal point of view, in my opinion these are a few of the easiest ones for the novice to have a go at growing. I think that if you can be successful at growing these then it can only encourage you to go on and try some of the more difficult fruit and veg. The majority of greenhouse owners can grow slightly more difficult plants such as Cucumbers, Grapes etc. This is aimed at the beginner. After all we all have to start somewhere.
