Fresh flowers in the house is something that everyone enjoys. Keeping some plants inside your rooms helps you create a fresh lively look and healthy atmosphere to live. You can grow a wide range of plants in a conservatory that you can not normally grow outside in the this country due to the weather. Home conservatories provide us the advantage of growing all type of plants in an indoor atmosphere. Conservatorie are very similar to orangeries in many ways. These structures were designed for the sole purpose of growing plans which may not be able to survive outside.

Before you start filling the room with plants, decide which parts of the conservatory you will use for growing plants and allocate areas for different uses. Using your conservatory for growing plants does not mean that you can't sit there to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of your home conservatory. Make sure that you make the most of the space available without it becoming a room just full of plants and pieces of furniture, it does not want to become too cluttered. So decide thoughtfully how much area of your conservatory you would actually like to devote for planting.

Once you have decided how much of the conservatory will be used for growing plants, you will need to choose the sort of plants or flowers that you would like to have in your conservatory. While you can grow pretty much anything you want, there are a few things to think about first. You need to observe carefully that what is the temperature of your conservatory, what is its humidity level, how much time of the day your conservatory receives direct sunlight, and how much time would you need to and like to keep the conservatory windows open for some fresh air for your plants. Once you have looked at all of these differetn points you should have a short list of the flowers that you can grow. Plants that are going to do well in the conservatory are obviously the best choice.

Do you want to grow any fruit or vegetables? If so you could also grow these in the conservatory alongside the flowers and plants that you have chosen. If you do plan on growing fruit which grows on a tree then make sure the conservatory is high enough for the tree to become fully grown without touching the roof.

If you need some advice for the best plants, flowers and fruit and veg to grow then head to the garden centre and you will be able to talk to the experts. You may need some advice on the best pots to plant them in or whats the best compost to use, the experts will also be able to help with this. Think about how large each plant will be when fully grown when you are planting them. You can finish it off with a selection of smaller plants scattered around the room in smaller pots.

It is important that you do not just forget about the flowers once they are in place, you will need to make sure that you trim them when required and they have all the water they need.
