Looking at the total picture, just about all people will be able to enjoy their Optimus One with no perceived problems with performance. So if you are not a demanding user, then you can expect a very pleasant experience. Most will be happy to use the voice search function, adequate GPS that will get the job done, and convenience of swipe text input. One negative, we feel, is the battery that comes with it as we would like to see greater capacity. It is quite possible that your full charge may not last the whole day depending on the load demand.
You can interface with Google's Android Market to take advantage of roughly 70K apps. That is just one example of how there are extensive integration facilities built into the Optimus One. You will need to use the LG App Advisor in order to access all those apps, though. The Optimus One can more than carry its weight as a solid smart phone with sufficient technological capability.
