If you are tired of paying high prices and are looking for a way to save money on your hobbies, you may want to begin to make bowling shirts. You will have the freedom to design unique shirts not found anywhere else and delight your teammates. At the same time, you will be saving money instead of having to give up a hobby you truly enjoy. Why put more money in the retailers pocket when you can save enough to buy an extra round on your next bowling night. How about saving enough for a new ball, bag, or shoes? That would put a shine on your night out.

As you begin your project, you will want to do some research on materials and equipment you may need. An electric sewing machine might be necessary to handle the amount of sewing needed to be done for the shirt. This is especially true if you area making shirts for you entire team. The amount and kinds of fabrics you need will depend on the number of team members, their sizes, and your preferences on how you want the shirt to look. Needles, thread, pattern and measuring tape are also going to be necessary. But remember, you only have to buy some equipment once.

As you start to make bowling shirts for the first time, it might be a good idea to spend some time looking at other shirts that are out there. You may want to pattern yours after an existing shirt or try to make one completely different from any around. Be sure to consult with your teammates if you are making their shirts as well. They may not share your taste in bowling fashion. You might want to speak with your bowling alley’s management to find out what they will accept or what guidelines or restrictions they may have in place regarding what your shirt can say or look like.

You will also want to consult with your sponsor before you begin to make bowling shirts. The sponsor may have some guidelines and restrictions as well before he or she hands out money for sponsoring your team. The sponsor does not want a shirt that will reflect badly on his or her business or one that will not properly showcase their product or service. Since many sponsors do this as a gesture of community goodwill instead of any real advertising, they will probably be fine with whatever your vision is. But it is always good to ask.

Many different styles, colors and patterns can be used to make bowling shirts. The choices are up to you and your teammates. You could go with a classic look with collar and button down front, or a more casual look with a tee shirt design. Colors can be as conservative or as wild as you would like. Traditional blues and blacks or bright neon or pastels are all on the pallet for you to mix and match. Be as creative as you want with your vision.
