It's all too easy to become distracted while driving and it's amazing that so few accidents are actually occur. While many people will declare that they are a good driver and they aren't getting distracted this is simply not the truth. You would be hard put to come across a male driver who isn't distracted by the site of a pretty woman standing at the side of the road. For females, who wouldn't stop to look at a shirtless man who clearly visits the gym regularly? So you're able to see that people can become distracted and this is the moment accidents commonly happen. In this article we will talk about a few things you can do to help reduce the distractions.
The number one thing to do is turn off your mobile phone when you're driving. In many areas it is in fact against the law to drive and use your cell phone at the same time. Nevertheless, drivers continue to do it. A sensible way to avoid this is by turning the phone off once you get in the car. Similarly, you can switch it back on every time you get out of the car. If you have any lost calls or messages you will get them so don't freak out.
If you enjoy having the radio playing while you're driving, you should set it up on one station and not constantly change channels. You would be surprised at how many accidents happen when someone takes their eyes off the road for just a second to do something like change the radio station. Something you can do is to have an mp3 player and add all your favorite songs to it then when you get in the car hook the mp3 player up and just let it play through all your favorite music.
One endeavor that people probably shouldn't do when they drive is eat. Eating something like a sandwich will not likely trigger any issues. But image the scenario when you take a bite and some of the insides of your sandwich fall onto your lap. If you're the average person, you are likely to take one hand from the steering wheel and briefly look down at your lap so you can pick up what you dropped. So now you actually have your hands off the steering wheel, one clutching your sandwich and one cleaning up the mess. Pairing eating and driving does not succeed very well.
A couple of other things should be done elsewhere and not in the car. The first thing is the fact that ladies have to discontinue putting their makeup on when they are driving. You'll find it worth spending a few minutes at home to avoid doing it while driving. In the same vein, men need to cease using electric razors while driving. Here again, merely taking a few extra minutes to shave at home before leaving can make a world of difference. I realize that everyone is in a push these days, but if you consider things, you are not going to get to your location any faster if you end up getting pulled over for a ticket or even end up getting in to an accident so do these things at home.
