Taking your old hard drive and adding it to your new computer is an effective way to save all of your information when you buy a new computer. First things first you're going to need to pop the case open of both computers, now you're going to want to take a gander at both the connectors that come from the old hard drive and at the connectors that are inside your new computer, if they match, you're good to go, if they don't then you're going to need to purchase yourself an adaptor. These adaptors will either be sata or ide. After you attach the cables all you have to do is put everything back together.
