Is it possible that the publisher would change the article?
Usually, it doesn't happen. It's kind of an extra task for them. Hence, they are in constant search for those kinds of article writers who write quality content on regular basis. This saves time for them to amend anything in the article and can get issued straight away. If you still have any doubt and don't want your article to be changed when published, you can always include a line saying not to change it.
How many times the same article can be published?
It shouldn't be a question at all. As long as the same article is giving good response by increasing the visitors, it should be appreciated.

Nothing will happen to your reputation. It will not suffer. The sites which are dubious are often found to be unrelated or have very low volume of visitors. When my rankings will go up?
As such, there is no one who can guarantee results when it comes to SEO. Yes, prediction of results can stand close and some figures here and there. This is SEO. Also, having backlinks from reputed sites whose PR is good will help in to push your rankings upwards. If not these, then probably even having 100 or 200 backlinks won't help to increase the rankings on a faster pace. As said, no one predict and it is a continuous process when it comes to SEO.
