Even today, the cause of Morgellons disease remains unknown. Doctors and physicians have several theories. Some doctors are convinced that Morgellons and Lyme's disease are somehow connected. Physicians suspect an unknown pathological agent and note that the "prions" that cause Mad Cow Disease were only recently discovered. There are also doctors that suspect that man made nano technology gets from the environment into the body, and all the way inside the cells themselves. Another thing that may cause Morgellons is connected to Chemtrails. Scientist have found evidence of a link between Chemtrail fibers and Morgellons affected fibers. Those fibers appear to be found in jet plane exhausts - the white line in the sky caused by the passage of airplanes.
However, because no cause of Morgellons has been determined yet, doctors believe that people who are suffering from Morgellons are actually delusional - there is no apparent cause of their sensation of crawling insects. And because of that, some believe that this syndrome should be referred to psychiatrists. Many physicians and dermatologists believe that Morgellons is in fact delusions of Parasitosis, meaning that patients trick themselves into thinking that insects and bugs are on their skin. Some of the symptoms such as depression, chronic fatigue and mental confusion or 'brain fog' are psycholudics and because of that many believe that this Morgellons Syndrome is mental disease. The Morgellons Research Foundation argues that the behavioral disorders are caused by Morgellons and that is no mental disease. However, the majority of the scientific community maintain that the symptoms of Morgellons are caused by a dilusion aided by an underlying behavioral disorder.
Whatever the causes of Morgellons may be - infectious pathogens, nano technologies, chemical poisonings, a psychological disorder, or else, the symptoms that it causes are very much real. The medical personnel must find treatment for the sores, pains and other physical manifestations of Morgellons.
People around the world suffer from Morgellons disease. In some extreme cases, whole families present symptoms at the same time, and need to be treated. Today, many doctors decide to treat the physical symptoms of Morgellons separately in order to minimize the pain and damage to the body. Many doctors think that psychological treatment should be given as well. Others have found relief in the use of colloidal silver. For some patients, treatment similar to that for Lyme's disease helps is found to be effective. Further attention and research should obviously be made, to determine the real cause and treatment for Morgellons disease.
