Below are some helpful tips on how you can teach yourself to develop a good singing voice and expand your voice range.

•Emotion – It is a fact that technical skills are important if you cannot persuade people with your voice you are not a good singer. In singing even you are just practicing, it is important that you should emote. It is important to use your whole body, most importantly your face and limbs to show the emotions you are feeling when you are performing. A singer is compared to a flame without a heat if you cannot bring emotion into their voice every time they perform, it fills one criteria but it is not complete though.

•Breathing – In singing proper breathing technique is very important because if you know how to breath properly you will go a very long way to improving your voice. It is a common issue among people who loves to sing is that they hold their breath while singing instead of letting the air flow through their system. If a singer do not have enough breath to sing notes then it is very important to develop a better breathing. In doing this you must draw breath to your diaphragm. Instead of belly breathing as what people know, it is now called diaphragmatic breathing. Once you know how to breath the proper way and learn how to sing without holding back your breath you can now start to get into it and learn finally proper breathing.

•Constant Practice – We all know the fact that constant practice is very important, it may not make your craft perfect but at least it will make much better. Sing whenever you can, whether in your bathroom or in your car but do not overdo it to the point that you can get sore throat. You will learn a lot if you will make singing a part of your everyday life and experiment things how to learn better and faster. Another thing also is while practicing try to look in front of the mirror so you can see how your body reacts when you are singing.
