My friend said that some world class trout have been pulled out of Lake Michigan and that people come from all over the world to fish there. I was getting so excited for this trip. I kept having this recurring dream that I was on the Great Lakes and I am there with my buddies. We are all on a boat out on the water. The water seemed to go forever and I felt very small out there. I am watching my line, there is a slight tremor, then my rod bends violently. I jump up and start reeling in. I love the feel of a fishing rod when a fish is on, it really is a battle. It felt so real in my dream, then just as I am about to see the fish break the water, I wake up. I am so ready for this trip.

We finally arrive for our Michigan fishing trip. We pack the night before for an early rise and get ready to get out on the Lakes. I feel like it is Christmas Eve. I can hardly sleep. The next morning we get up before the sun is up. We head for the lake with much anticipation.

This was by far one of the best spots we had been to in all our years of having this annual fishing trip. I could not figure out why my friend had kept Michigan fishing all to himself. Why did he wait so long to tell us about it? So asked him, he said that in a way he did not want to anyone about it...it was like a secret fishing spot...once you tell one person soon everyone knows about it and you have to share it. So I told him I would not tell anyone about it, that is why I am writing it instead. This place is too great to keep a secret.
