Is scrapbooking one of your hobbies? Do you hate having to run to the store to buy more things just to make another page or two? What most folks don't understand about scrapbooking is that it is an art, not just on the paper but the way you do everything related to the hobby. One of the major issues that people have with scrapbooking as their hobby is they do not always have the room for the books and if that is the case then I highly recommend getting some digital scrapbooking programs and if you do have the room then I would still suggest getting the programs so that you don't have to run to the store time and time again.
The first thing that I want to make sure you know is that scrapbooking can get very costly if you are not watching what you are doing. One of the things that folks do and do not even think of is when they buy gold flaked paper at more than $2 a sheet, the costs rack up very quickly. Just remember, scrapbooking is supposed to be a fun hobby, so make it just that.
Tips to aid you with scrapbooking
Never get behind - The first tip that I have for you is to not get behind on your scrapbooking. When people get behind a year or even just a few months they tend to rush through all their projects as opposed to taking their time and doing it right. If this is your hobby and you really like to do it then I suggest taking your time no matter how far back you really are.
Utilize existing scrapbooks - One other thing you can do is simply use one of your old scrapbooks instead of spending more money and buying a new one. The reason you might do this is if you can make a second part or extend the previous scrapbook. What you do not want to do is take all the pages out of the older book and turn it into something else. Trust me, reusing the binders and folders when possible will make your life a whole lot easier.
Use digital scrapbooking - One thing that you should try is digital scrapbook software because it really does more than you think. Most folks that try going digital say they really like it and why not, you do not have a bunch of papers laying around, you can save projects and come back to them later, each scrapbook looks professionally done, and you can make more than one copy. If you have not tried it out yet then I would highly recommend it because it will be the it thing very soon. Just remember that if you don't like it you can go right back to what you were doing.
Always remember that digital scrapbook software does a lot of different things and the nicest part about it is it can save you money, save you time, and my personal favorite save space through my home.
