Diaphragm is the most important function in respiration and it is very helpful in breathing especially during inspiration in which it is the primary role of the muscle and supported by the other accessory muscles surrounded in the abdominal cavity the so called intercostals. The diaphragm separates the thoracic from the abdominal cavity and divided into three regions with their attachment of the ribs, thoracic and pelvis. The diaphragm contracts when we inhale and enlarging the thoracic cavity and other surrounding muscles that make the lung cavity expand in which draws an air into the lung in a way produce breathing. Breathing is a two way process an inspiration and expiration.

There is certain breathing exercises technique to maintain the diaphragm strong which is necessary in speech as well in singing and the muscle itself must be developed.
