In case you don’t know, you can learn to sing using karaoke backing tracks. Are you surprised? Yes you do can learn! In fact it is also a learning how to listen and not just learning how to sing.

From low end type noise to high end squealy type of noises, we all can make noises naturally. The real fundamentals of being able to sing are these type of noises combined with the manipulation of your body muscles to produce different tones. To help you learn controlling these types of sounds, the use of backing tracks is already considered a tool, and it will come from you in the long run. In this article i am going to discuss details on how to help you use karaoke backing tracks as a learning to sing tool.

Compared to scale training, backing track offer several advantage that the training doesn’t offer. Through the use of tracks you sing a bunch of notes as well as an actual song. When it comes to singing a song, i have found out that there is something different about hitting the high notes compared to doing scale training. It is a fact that in general, songs do not always follow specific pattern in notes that is normally contained in scale training guides, and therefore you are using your muscles in a different manner.

Like for example you are required to hit a very high note from a very low note, and then in a song where the scale are more of a chromatic, which means that the notes are predictable. In this case you are using the muscles in your throat in a different manner for each of the song, so basically you are very far to singing songs than scales in a sense.

Take the time to listen to your favourite song, and the very first thing that you should know is whether or not the song is within your voice range. If you are still staring with singing, it is a common thing that there will be a problem for you in hitting high notes , so you must make sure that you choose the songs that is within your voice range to avoid straining your voice. Learn to anticipated and sing along with your chosen song and feel where the changes are. There is no need for you to repeat the songs many times for you to finally realize how the song really goes. The last thing that you should do, is to record your voice singing the track and make a comparison with the original one. Notice the difference between the two and critique your work. Have you done justice to the song? Did you hold the note quite well enough? Were you able to hit the right notes? This is my tip to you, sing an octave higher or lower on that particular note or phrase, and i tell you it really works.

By making comparison and listen you will be able to know that you have what it takes to sing and it was never a problem in the first place. Now you know that you can really learn to sing.
