Getting on the first page is not an easy thing to do and 9 times out of 10 it CANNOT be done overnight. Thousands of bloggers and marketers end up getting trapped in the spider webs made by Google's spiders and as a result, they either do not get ranked at all or they get a ranking which will give them very little benefit. Many people will tell you different things about what it takes to get the spiders on your side and to get your articles or blog ranked on the first page of Google. Despite all that though, if you follow my tips on blog writing that I am about to share with you, I guarantee that you will begin to get some first page rankings.
We all know about keyword research and how important it is if you want to get a good search engine ranking so I will not get into much detail about that. What I will get into though is how often you should use your keywords and where. The term many people refer to is keyword density which means how often your keyword appears in your content. This is one of my first very first tips on blog writing because if you do not get this part right 90% of the time, nothing else will follow. To get multiple rankings on the first page of Google, I have been having a keyword density in all of my content at a level of 1-1.5%. Some people go for 2% and some people go for 3% or even higher. Personally I have been having great results by having just a 1% level with my articles being between 500 and 700 words. Having a keyword density level of 2% or more would not sound natural in a 500-700 word article and would sound to spammy, therefore it should be avoided.
Another one of my tips on blog writing and how I have avoided getting trapped like a fly in the spider's web is by using my keywords in specific places. One thing that I believe has really helped me in getting rankings is the all in one SEO plugin which is accessible to all wordpress users. I have been using my keyword in the title, the opening sentence and the closing sentence. I also add my keyword in the all in one SEO plugin sections including the title and meta description tag. Using your keyword in the right places will really make a big difference in the search engines.
Getting down to business and giving the reader exactly what they want is also on my list of tips on blog writing. For example if the article title states or says something, I make sure that I discuss that topic as succinctly and effectively as I can. You will not do yourself any favors by beating around the bush or talking about something completely different because your readers will lose interest and would most probably not bother reading any future material. ALWAYS keep the reader in mind and think about putting his/her interests ahead of yours.
By following these tips on blog writing you have no reason or excuse why not to make your efforts pay off and reap the rewards. What I have shared with you is exactly what I have been doing and continue to do in order to get ranked in the search engines and get daily hits and traffic. Also by doing all of this, you will avoid getting trapped in any spider webs along the way which will make it a lot easier for you.
