The primary culprit triggering the present-day ecological problem is man. The big question is whether the crisis is due to ignorant people, or has it been the deception of the huge corporations. Fact is, much waste and misuse of natural resources is something people are mostly guilty of. The nature of things is, unfortunately, that the general public usually accepts the tale put out by the powers that be. It is nevertheless possible for human individuals by their actions to overturn several of the worldwide ecological instability resulting from global warming.

By adopting a number of the green movement's principles, much progress can be made. There is no plausible cure for our ecological problems other than living green. We cannot altogether undo what's already been done, but we can stop the crisis from developing further and maybe counter some of the damage. People can at least stop further harm to the environment by espousing and sticking to earth-friendly principles. A couple of pre-requisites exist that must be fulfilled before we can have a less polluted, more sustainable planet.

These include utilizing green waste, purchasing food locally, sticking to a vegetarian diet, and not making use of throwaway materials. Virtually everyone could do all of those things by just deciding to do them. More prudent and less wasteful use of power and water are required if the ecological balance is to be restored. The pollution of our atmosphere by the accelerated amounts of carbon gases made by humans is the chief cause of global warming. More and more vehicles, factories, intensive, extensive faming and innovative equiment are actively fuelling the present-day crisis.

Recent disasters such as tsunamis, flooding, earthquakes, strange extremes of atmospheric condition and dearths in food and water can all be associated with the present environmental problem. It has become needed, as a result of all of these destructive effects, to take some strong steps to deal with the situation that continues to become worse. Getting individuals to implement green living practices is one of the more powerful choices available to us. The focus must shift to persuading men and women that their individual contributions, even if in modest ways, will make a difference and are critical components of success on a greater scale. The media is apparently best-placed to take on the job of swaying the masses that any step towards greener living is notable and will make a huge difference.

This could actually be the last viable method open to us, so individuals really should step up to the challenge of making their lifestyle decisions more responsibly. In order to keep the environmental crisis from ruining everything, it is time to bring back the lost sense of right and wrong concerning the planet. If men and women are not willing to face facts and do their part in saving the environment, how much time does the world have? Unless there is a revolutionary departure from the present ways of man, there is no hope for the future generation.

This may actually be the last feasible alternative open to us, so people really need to rise to the challenge of making their lifestyle decisions more responsibly. To stay the slide towards desperation and misery, we need to develop a sense of right and wrong regarding the effect our actions have on the plent. How much longer can the world go on this way, unless people face facts and do their bit towards saving the environment? The outlook for our future generation is a distressing one, if humans continue along the path set by the current generation.
