When it comes to building your online mlm business there are two paths you can take. You can either do what the vast majority of people do which is get involved online, join a business and then post links everywhere telling people to join because it is the next big thing and will take the world by storm. The other path you could take which is less popular is the one where you get involved online, start your learning process, take action on what you learn and then share your knowledge and results with other people. It is pretty simple because the first one leads to the destination of failure and the second one is what will take you to the doorstep of success. In this article, I will share 5 of my top commandments with you that if you implement, will take you a long way in building your online mlm business.
The 5 commandments of building your online mlm business
1) The first commandment of building your online mlm business is actually knowing your business and the industry you are in. This is common sense really because if you don't know about your business and you only joined because you are looking to get rich quick, to begin with you are definitely in the wrong industry and secondly, how will you know what to say to your leads if they ask questions that may not be covered in the sales presentation? Studying your business and the industry or market that it is in, is crucial because it can make a difference in people joining you or rejecting you if they click on that you have no idea what you are talking about.
2) The second commandment of successfully building your online mlm business is having a marketing plan. Writing this will not take you any longer than say 15-20 minutes and once it has been created, all you have to do is follow it. Many people fail to take action for a number of reasons and by having a marketing plan in place, you will be making it a lot easier for yourself because you will know exactly what you need to do and when, therefore preventing you from wasting time and getting nothing done.
3) If you are not consistent in your efforts then building your online mlm business will be like a hooker looking for action in a church. She will not get what she wants and you will not get what you want. Consistency is one of the most important traits that you could ever possess if you are an entrepreneur or an online marketer. It is the one trait that will help you in meeting your goals, getting results and ultimately building your business. If you are not being consistent, then you will not see any results and this will most likely de-motivate you and force you to quit. Definitely not the end result that any marketer should experience. So consistency is my third commandment when it comes to building your empire.
4) My fourth commandment which will help you in building your online mlm business and which is a result of doing commandments #2 and #3 is lead generation. If you are not getting leads then your business will never grow. Leads are what will keep you going and are the lifeblood of any business so knowing how to get these and actually applying that knowledge into action, can be the best thing you could ever do for your business or whatever else you may be promoting. Some guys are getting more leads than they can handle whereas others are only getting a few a week. Whatever the situation it really does not matter because if you are only getting a few leads, you can work on that and increase it, but if you are not getting any leads then what are you doing?
5) Connecting and building relationships is my final commandment that will play a huge role when it comes to building your online mlm business. Forget what your upline has told you or what you have read because if nobody tells you the importance of connecting and building relationships you are heading up a very slippery path. Network marketing is all about relationship building because people will not join your business, they will join you in business. So connecting with people and building relationships with your leads is crucial if you want to make a difference in your life and start building your business. You can connect with people in different ways such as through your blog, social media, e-mails etc.
That is it guys. They are my 5 business building commandments that if you follow will definitely help you in getting results online. You cannot really do one without the other and that is why doing all of these in sync with one another is vital to your success. For example you can't do #4 without completing #'s 2 and 3 so make sure you are doing all of 5 things. If you avoid doing what the majority of people are doing and begin building your online mlm business in the less popular way, then believe me you will be a lot better off and success will come to you much quicker. :-)
