I Already Know The Place Where I'll Be Retiring To
Among the best trips I took in recent memory was when I visited my aunt in Tampa, Florida last fall. I'm 36 years old now but I nonetheless keep in mind extremely clearly how she took care of me when I was still a toddler. She was my dad's cousin and had come to live with us temporarily when she was studying for her master's degree in nursing. I remember crying hard the day she left for Florida to begin her new position as a nursing administrator in one of the hospitals in Tampa.
Because the day she left, I only got to see her around 3 occasions when she visited us for the holidays. She got married and has had a family of her own for the last 20 years, but I had by no means met them. I decided that following all these years I would be the 1 this time to pay her a visit and get to know her family. I had learned that she had began her own business and had teamed up with some of her close friends which includes a dermatologist and a former beauty salon owner to put up a brand new Tampa hair transplantation centre.
My first impression of the city was the fantastic climate and the beautiful parks and walkways. It was sunny and the air was breezy and relatively fresh compared towards the suffocating smog of Los Angeles. I had learned that it was named 1 of Forbes magazine's leading outdoor cities. I also noticed that there had been very a lot of retirees living there, but they had been the active, outdoor-loving type. It turns out that Tampa is also a top retirement city due to the low cost of housing, inexpensive and accessible medical care and senior-friendly recreational facilities along with its outdoor attractions.
My aunt lives in a nice suburban house with five bedrooms and a swimming pool. They are truly living quite well, in spite of the rough economic times. Her family welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home. Her husband is a nurse along with an university professor. Their children are all young males now. Two of them, ages 28 and 26, are engineers. Each have moved out of the house but still go to regularly. The youngest is 18 and about to enter college. He wants to become a lawyer. Meanwhile, my aunt does not look a day older than when she left us more than 30 years ago. She said that because she was within the youth and beauty business now, she needs to appear the part - and she does!
It turns out that with regards to hair transplantation, Tampa is a great location partly because of the senior population. The clinic is doing really well. My aunt says that despite the recession, she was in a position to make improvements to their home. The prior winter, she went on a Caribbean cruise with her husband. Actual estate in Tampa is also less expensive on average so she has taken advantage of this to buy some properties which she now rents out.
