A very heavenly destination in the Republic of the Philippines is Palawan main island. That is the part south of Busuanga and the Calamianes archipelago . A little town about 8 hours by motorbus from Puerto Princessa and thus still and beautiful for nature lovers is El Nido on the West side of the island. A small village all within walking distance like a large family settlement. Beautiful nature within walking of motor motorcycle distance with waterfalls and jungle like impenetrable flora.
For sea fans, right off the coast of El Nido is a small group of rocky archipelago with palm trees, impenetrable jungle like vegetation and small beautiful beaches inviting for day trips snorkeling or exploring tropical islands .
Many local fishermen offer half day and day trips to the archipelago also to virgin beaches on the heavenly islands off the coast of El Nido. Several SCUBA diving operators offer diving packages and diving education for novices. That makes El Nido a quiet secret lead for an low cost escape with some water sports and mother nature adventure in a tropical paradise surround.
Siargao island
A hidden secret destination place in the Philippines is the beautiful remote island Siargao with its many small tropical islands within boating range . With a direct seashore line toward the deep Pacific the island offers beautiful tropical botany between small farmer residential areas and fisher communities . Cloud 9 is a renowned surfing wave near General Luna. Beautiful beaches and quiet island life again absolutely are a paradise for nature fans. Besides surfboarding on cloud 9, you also find fantabulous day tours to the many little neighbor islands and naturally chances for SCUBA diving in a few diving holidays resort. Siargao above all is a quiet place to loosen up, as a spiritual hideaway of a second honeymoon to heal your marriage .
Siargao island again remains heavenly because it is most difficult to access by plane or ferry watercraft . During rainy season half or more of the airline travel might get called off and the large ferry boats anchored until Taifun warning over. Hence arrival or departure can become delayed up to a week. The island is well worth all the troubles in getting or leaving. Just plan early, watch weather forecast and select dry season rather than a rainy season.
There are naturally many more most beautiful locations on the island. However some of the truly most romantic or picturesque spots offer no tourist local rental and the only means to get access to such distant beautiful island venues would be by personal invitation .
