Internet marketing strategies are like cell phones: you find one you love, and then something new comes out a week later.
Now, not all new strategies are bad - in fact it's a good idea to keep your eyes open and adapt to changes in the industry - but don't spend all your time chasing the newest tricks. Focus your efforts and get some results before moving on to master something new.
Think about swapping marketing strategies as though you were someone swapping diets. This week no carbs, but then you change your mind and focus on a high protein level. A month later you decide to go vegetarian for a while but then you see a new miracle smoothing on TV that you just HAVE to try...
Your body would be completely confused and you wouldn't really be making any long term changes. You may lose a pound or two here or there, but you wouldn't be able to keep bouncing around like this from diet to diet.
Wouldn't it make more sense to implement some real long term changes in your life? These would be things you could do consistently and build some real results with.
Internet marketing is no different. You need to lay a foundation for whatever marketing you are going to do. You can't spend a week posting videos on YouTube, then get bored and throw a couple thousand dollars into a pay per click campaign only to give up and decide article marketing is a better way to go - all in the course of a month - and expect to get any significant results from any of them.
You may see a little bit in the way of results, but you will see huge results if you take consistent, massive action. This is why there is no magic strategy out there that works for everyone.
