Are you an affiliate marketer or product creator? If so, and you have never bothered with learning how to write presell copy, then your marketing machine is not all it could be. Maybe you have heard of presell but do not know how to write it? No problem if you continue reading, and this is just a taste.
If you find your self wandering into sales copy land while writing presell copy, then just delete it and start all over. But you do need to talk about the product you are writing about, or the service, and let the person know about how people benefit from it. Good presell copy will naturally display the benefits without waving a flag and attracting attention like, hey look at me. So it should be apparent for you to have intimate knowledge about the benefits because that will make your presell stronger and more convincing. You can find excellent examples of preselling copy with some careful searching, and when you do be sure to dissect it completely and learn from it. We mentioned something about a review in another part of this article; however, the review method is definitely a form of preselling, but as you should know the format is totally different. But with a review it becomes even more important for you to have actually used the product, read it or whatever. A neutral review will contain the good, bad, ugly and everything in between. Another important point is to write with your own voice which means using your unique persona. When you're reader is warmed up about the product, that's when you take him towards to the product sales page. However, you cannot get water from a rock, and that means you still need to provide quality traffic to your presell page.
Should you get carried away with your writing, due to excitement, and start getting a little loose with the hype - you will see the effects in your tracking and low conversion rates. So hopefully we have pounded this into your head that all of your preselling efforts need to be objective, fair and honest. Always proof read your copy, and it is actually a really good idea to just leave it alone for at least a day because you will always be able to improve on it later on. Reviews and preselling are powerful devices, so use them as they should be and you will do much better.
Also, another component of preselling is to be extremely sure you know as much about the product or service you are marketing.
