The Fiat Brava/Bravo was first launched in the year 1995 and was produced till the year 2001. It was manufactured by Fiat which is a reputed automaker in the country of Italy. It had many variations in the six years it was manufactured according to the changing demands of the people. Initially it started as a small hatchback with three doors. After few months of manufacture of this type of models a little longer hatchback with five doors including a boot was introduced. Unlike other models from Fiat, Fiat Brava/Bravo was introduced only as a hatchback and no similar models in sedan and utility vehicle existed. As for the engines, they had a replacement of the older but successful engines. All the cars therefore had new technology engines.
It had a variety of capacity ranging from 1.4L to 1.9L. It produced great support to the car and made it possible to drive at high speed of above 200 kilometers per hour. The engines were capable of running on petrol or turbo diesel. In the year of its launch it had great reviews and also won the car of year in the Europe. It had a very fashionable design and was liked by most of the youth. A year after the launch of Fiat Brava/Bravo, they started designing and manufacturing the sedan and a utility version of it. Unlike its contemporaries, it had a bigger boot space and was awarded for it. After few years of launching Brava/Bravo, it had undergone many changes gradually.
The dashboard was restyled and most of the interiors to make it more elegant and modern. The dashboard had a version of radio dash kit that was similar to most of the Fiat making. It was provided with an adaptor that alters the size of the aperture for radio stereos. The adaptors were of many colours. The adaptors could be easily matched with the colours and textures of the interiors. This gave a very uniform look to the inside of the car. Initially the Fiat Brava was successful in Europe but during the early 21st century the manufacture of Brava was more active in Brazil than in Europe and in Italy plants.
The asset of Fiat Brava/Bravo was its compact and new look hatch. During that period, it had decent mileage making it a very easy option for higher middle class people. The petrol engines with 1.4L and the diesel engine with 2L capacity was one hit feature of Brava too and was highly efficient. The interior that could be customized was also one of the assets of Brava/Bravo. Though there were so many good features for the car, it had few drawbacks which caused its downfall from the market. It was a fact that the car could reach above 200 kilometers per hour, but at such high speeds the engine produced a lot of sound and knocking. The spring system and shock absorption system was not that impressive because of which it gave a lumpy drive while the other cars gave a relatively smooth drive.
