Fiat Marea is available in two forms both as a sedan and a multi utility vehicle. It has the famous make of Fiat which is an Italian automobile company. It was introduced worldwide in the year 1996. Now many other models from fiat have replaced it. It is a known fact that an automobile however successful it is cannot long last in today’s competitive world. The buying capacity of an individual has increased and this calls for increased quality in everything that has to be purchased. Because of this fact, even though this model was powerful, it did not stay successful for long.
Fiat Marea can be modeled with an engine that runs on petrol or diesel. With the increase in concern of the price hike of petrol and diesel, they have also come up with latest designs of engine that use liquid petroleum gas more efficiently. The engines had a volume starting from 1.2L to 2L. The customers have the choice of customizing their engines based on the fuel type and the capacity of the engine. The customers also have the option of making it dual engine that works any of the two fuels: petrol or liquefied natural gas (compressed).
The fuel injection in these engines is done by electronic controllers. The production of this was initially started in two Italian cities. The one plant was in Cassino and the other at in the city of Mirafiori. When the demand increased a year later the production was started in the Brazilian plants. Though Fiat Marea had the common features present in every other model it did not fare well as those of the contemporaries. At the time when Marea was launched in the market in 1997 similar sedan models were introduced by well known auto makers like the Ford, Peugeot, etc.
Due to the severe competition between all the cars, Marea did have a rough time at the time of launch itself. Apart from the external competition worldwide, the car was a success. It had great interiors that were available in various colours. It had dual speaker system and supported good sound system. The Fiat Weekend which is a multi utility vehicle has a big boot space but nothing out of the ordinary compared with other similar utility vehicles. Marea can be used on long drives and hilly treks as it has heavy front tires. The windows and the seats especially driver’s can be operated electronically. This was very customer friendly.
The radio dash kit was another trademark of the Fiat. Radio dash kit was similar to many models of Fiat. This is very important since nowadays the music listeners have become inevitable. The stereo fitting is also necessary because it influences the appearance of the car. There are some adaptors in the market for making the stereo sets universal.
