Pioneer offers a warranty to all of its TVs, whether they are still the bulky boxed type or the high tech flat ones. For the PDP, there is a one year warranty (but some stores offer two years warranty for PDP TVs) while the Elite PRO has at least 2 years of extended warranty.
But just like any other products, it also has its flaws. Most flat screen TVs can be easily damaged with slight pressure, unsuitable room temperature and improper handling. As some say, plasma TVs, once broken, becomes disposable gadgets so it is very important to take good care of any of the mentioned Pioneer Plasma HDTV models.
