Constantly jumping from one strategy to another is a whole lot like constantly trying new weight loss methods. Don't eat one thing for a week, then focus on getting quite a lot of something else the week after that, and on and on it goes.
Your body would be absolutely confused and you wouldn't really be making any long term changes. You may lose a pound or two here or there, but you wouldn't be able to keep bouncing around like this from diet to diet.
