Makarska Cultural Summer - The manifestation happens during July and August and includes plays, various exhibitions, Fisherman's Evenings, concerts of classical and modern music, Klapa ceremonies (Klapa is a kind of an authentic, traditional Dalmatian choir) and many other cultural events. Fisherman's Evenings - One of events held throughout the Cultural Summer manifestation. Book your Friday night for the Fisherman's Evening and enjoy lots of fun, music and delicious fish dishes. The entertainment programme includes some amusing activities, like throwing the stone within the shoulder, pulling the rope, donky races or running inside the bags.

MaFest - A comic book festival that is held at the end of May and in most cases lasts for a week. Visit exhibitions and lectures on a history of comics, and meet an impressive guests, renown in the world of the ninth art.
Echo Fest - The three-day dance and electronic music festival occurs in late June on the popular Buba beach. Join the party and dance towards the sounds of funk, disco, hip hop and house music from dusk till dawn
Dalmatia Wine Expo - The festival of wine, local gastronomic specialities and high spirits takes place usually around the last weekend in April.

Antun Gojak City's Gallery - The Gallery with around 400 artworks, mostly paintings, is housed within the "Old school" building. The Gallery organizes around 12 exhibitions per year.
Vepric Shrine - with the cave containing the statue of Holy Mary, with the chapel and an outdoor altar, was founded in 1908 and specialized in the Mother of God of Lourdes.

Malacological Museum - inside Franciscan Monastery you can see very popular collection of shells coming from all over the world.
