Have you heard about the Paleo Diet yet? There's certainly a lot of buzz surrounding it. If you haven't heard of this before it's a diet focussed on the nutritional balance that our ancestors survived on, long before industrial agriculture came along.
This diet has already established itself as a major contributor to healthier living. Did you know that our paleolithic predecessors didn't actually suffer from the modern day food related health diseases we currently do? They didn't battle heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer and many other serious conditions, which are in fact modern day phenomena.
They lived very natural lives that made them naturally healthy, fit and strong. Their food, such as meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts and seeds was basic yet very nutritious and without any toxic additives found in some modern day foodstuffs.
Our bodies are still designed much the same way as our ancestors and thus geared to take in the same nutritional balance. Modern refined grains, vegetable seed oils and food with high sugar content pervade the average person's diet and in doing so pose an increased health risk. Thankfully, we also have access to good food education and can make a considered choice to change diet if we wish to do so. That's one of the reasons why many people are now beginning to pick up on the Paleo diet.
That said, it's one thing knowing about a better diet that's out there and then another to actually put it into practice. For example, everyone knows what sort of food they should be eating but in practice many people eat the total opposite of this. Or when we do revert to a healthier diet we quickly develop cravings and longings for other types of food as quite often we find we're just eating the same type of healthier food.
In practice, people like yourself - with an interest in healthier eating - simply want to gain a more balanced and healtheier lifestyle. The Paleo diet has you interested but perhaps you're a little unsure of how it would work in reality or how you can at least sample it.
Luckily there is a very handy and simple way to take that next step. The Paleo Recipe book is a collection of easy reciples and cooking tips that will guide you in a clear and simple fashion into a much healthier eating pattern. The book has more than 370 recipes all with colour pictures that can be viewed as an ebook.
Some other things you can expect to find in the cookbook are a Paleo food list and where to find paleo foods online. Plus a guide to 'good fats' and a chart to help you assess 'meat doneness'.
