When it comes to buying of consumer electronics, specifically notebook or desktop for personal or business use, most of the time, a buyer looks for particular specifications or has certain requirements in his/her mind that s/he matches with the features and just price that does not make him/her feel fleeced within next hour/day of purchase.
One easy way to reach a decision of buying desktop or notebook is that one tracks the sales of brands and fetches one that suits the needs. So, for example, you decide to buy HP products, there is rationality in your preference to Hewlett Packard (HP) over others.
HP offers in the technology battlefield
First and foremost is the sale of HP notebook and desktop that visibly outpaces others. Global shipments of notebooks are projected at 55 million units during the second quarter this year, up 17.6 per cent as compared to the previous quarter, said a latest report by Digitimes Research. Similarly, worldwide PC shipments were recorded at 87.11 million units in the second quarter, up 2.3 per cent as compared to that in the previous quarter. HP accounted for 18 per cent of total sales of PC in the world and registered sales of 15 million units, followed by Lenovo, Dell, Acer Group, Asus, etc.
The $127 billion US technology bellwether manufactures a wide range of consumer electronics including printers, digital cameras, scanners, PDAs, desktops, personal notebooks, business notebooks, workstations, servers, etc. However, its desktops and laptops are very much popular globally.
Discount as an effective weapon
It cannot be said for sure which brand among a score of consumer electronics is best in terms of price since if one is price competitive then it may have compromised on the specifications featured in a substitute.
Notable, however, is the narrow applicability of this statement in the business environment abounding with cost cutting strategies as well as tactics of utilizing things at optimal level, which also induce low price along with high quality.
Stings of regular price are cut off by deals and discounts. HP deals, for instance, cut prices of products half off or more. A HP discount, sometimes, happens to be in the bracket of 50 to 90 per cent.
And, amazingly these HP offers are promoted by the company itself on its public outlets as well as the platforms of a litany of retailers and aggregators.
So, if you are going to buy HP products-e.g. a notebook and a printer-you ought to scout about HP deals to benefit from the off-price devices of your choice.
