How to choose a Wedding Photographer? Choosing a wedding photographer is a big thing. Planning a wedding is such a stressful time anyway and every little detail matters. Having a great wedding photographer is such an important part of your day. You'll look at the photos of your wedding day and remember the past. I remember the time where 'the search was on' to find an amazing wedding photographer. I love looking at my wedding images and each portrait our wedding photographer took of us on our wedding day! My husband doesn't get why I look at our photos so much but it just brings back such good memories. Don't all images do that? But wedding photos are the best! Be patient to your wedding photographer so your wedding photographer does all he can for you wedding!

I actually bought a nice (expensive) DSLR camera about 9 months ago. I was so excited to learn how to use it and get into taking professional photos. I have (unfortunately) barely learned to use it and still use the Automatic setting most the time. I am nowhere near the point of being a professional wedding photographer nor really have the desire to be a wedding photographer. I'd rather take portrait images of individuals, families, babies, etc...

A wedding photographer has a lot on their plate, stressed brides, demanding moms, deadlines to get same day edits done etc... Because a wedding day is the most important day of a brides life (so far.) You want a wedding photographer that will tell you if your hair has gone astray or if you have lipstick on your teeth. You'll have these images for the rest of your life and you want to make sure you look your best.

My suggestion is to search, search, and search some more, everything about each wedding photographer. Get recommendations from friends or family of a wedding photographer they used or have heard in the past that takes great wedding photos. Being a wedding photographer is a huge industry so you definitely have more than one wedding photographer to choose from.

Before I was married, we had been to many wedding expos and bridal fairs. At each fair we went to, we saw booth after booth of different wedding photographer advertising. Each wedding photographer showed images that the wedding photographer had taken in the past to show case their photos. It is a hard decision, if you're going to advertise yourself, you must be a pretty good wedding photographer. But still look around and search which wedding photographer best suits your style.

Some people hire a wedding photographer and a wedding videographer. My brother in law is a really good wedding videographer and knows more than one good wedding photographer. Ask around to people who deal with weddings on a regular basis. They would be a great people to give a recommendation for a wedding photographer so you'll have the best wedding images for you and your fiance.
