1. Wrong expectations

OK most people you see in mlm business is because someone in their friend circle invited to their 'opportunity' or you are going to hard times and looking for an income source online.The whole thing is laid out in a simple fashion.Join the business ,talk to some people,recruit them,sell some products and you are rich.Unfortunately thats not true.It recquires a lot of learning and hard work to be successful in mlm business.

2. Wrong company

Joining the right company is critical.Joining a company that is less than 5 years old is not a good idea as most mlm companies fail in the first 5 years.Joining a company that is 'launching' might be a very bad idea.A company that is less than 5 years old does not mean it is scam, it just means it has not got a strong foothold yet.Then again if you join a low cost company like GDI you have to recruit a LOT of people to make considerable amount of money.Then again if you are going through tough economic times you dont want to join a company thats too expensive to join or the monthly expenses are hard on you.

3. Wrong sponsor

Having a sponsor who can't help you is very common in mlm business.Reason being 97 percent people fail in mlm business.So there are few good sponsors out there.And those sponsors doing well often won't be able to give you the time that you need from them.The training most sponsors offer are backdated and few sponsors know how to train their downline correctly when it comes to marketing online.

4. Wrong training

Lack or proper training is a big thing in the mlm industry.Most people will fail in the 'old' way of working on your mlm business.If you have to travel out of state to train stop doing it.Don't bother about going to your sponsor's house on saturday night for more training.So what you do?Aha you come online and visit different forums to look for the 'new' way but after 2 months you fail in the 'new' way as well.Unfortunately people dont realise that whether old or new, the nature of network marketing is the same online or offline.People join people and not just some business cause it has the best products.A lot of people I have talked to who are struggling online to build their mlm business have little knowledge on what to do.Most of them have never heard of the concept of a markeing funnel.People are still using company replicated sites.People are still boasting on how good the products are their companies are selling.The list goes on.

5. Lack of time and money

Let's face it.You have two kids to take care of on top of your regular job.You come home tired.What you want is some dinner and a good night's sleep to get you ready for facing you job the next day.Forget about socializing.And now you have to go this training for your mlm business.It can take a toll.Naturally sometimes your mlm business might be thrown in the backburner but fact is it is a real business that will take dedication and hard work and time.Spending 500 dollars and then expecting a return of 10000 dollars per month in a six month time period is unrealistic. Although some people have done that ,they did it out of sheer hard work and a clever investment of their time and money.

6. Depending too much on systems

Most of the times I see people fail in mlm business is because they depend too much on cookie cutter systems.In a way mlm business is an art.There are certain principles in it to be successful.Few people have achieved success just by joining a system.Skills are you most important assets.Skills inclue copywriting,talking on the phone or simply being good with technical stuff.You just can't rely on a system to do it for you.Mark my words.If you simply depend on a system you will fail.Learn a skill and move forward.
