Photos are a way of reliving a moment, a moment in time that was special for some reason. Whether it was a celebration of some kind or simply the first step a baby took, these are moments and memories that should never be forgotten. With the age of digital photography many people are great at taking the pictures, and about half of those people actually upload them to their computer. Probably only 30% of those people then actually print out these pictures. It is a great shame that these memories get sucked into a black hole only to be forgotten and lost if the computer ever crashed. Don't let this happen to you, make sure you print your pictures and then find creative ways to display them.

There are many creative ways to display your family photos other than in a photo album. There are many different websites that work very hard to keep their products fresh and on the edge of trends to help you keep your memories alive. These sites often have multiple different services all of which are trying to get you to use their site solely. I highly recommend looking into many different sites before you commit to one. This way you don't upload your photos to one, and then realize that you like a different site better and have to go through the work of uploading once again. Here are some things to look for when picking out a site to upload your pictures:
Â
• Do they have an unlimited storage that you can keep your photos there and know that they are safe from being automatically deleted after so many years?
Â
• Do they have a quality-printing lab? Read reviews to get a sample of their printing services.
Â
• Ask people who shoot a lot of pictures what site they use. People who do photography as a hobby would be a great source to find out where they print their pictures.
Â
• The ease of uploading pictures and the pricing of their products.
Â
Okay, so you got your memories on paper, aka pictures uploaded to the website of choice and now you are ready to display them. It is so rewarding to actually take the time to get your memories up on the walls or around your house so you can constantly be reminded of these special times in your lives. Here are a few creative ways this can be done.
Â
• Have pictures printed on a quilt or throw blanket to use in living quarters.
Â
• Create a picture wall or hallway by having pictures printed and framed in all different size frames. You could have a theme of one moment in time, or a sample of many different precious moments in your history.
Â
• Have one large picture of the entire family somewhat centered on a wall, then have portraits of each individual surrounding the group shot. Having one or all of these pictures gallery wrapped would be really neat.
Â
• Another creative way to display family portraits is to have a tree mural painted onto a wall with branches and leaves and all, then off of these branches put picture frames of the entire family to create a living family tree.
Â
• Utilizing an old wooden window with the glass still in it would be a cute way to display either one large picture or if it has the wood crossbars in it you could also divide it up and put 4 different, but still related pictures in it.
Â
It doesn’t matter how you display your photos as long as you get them off your camera so you can share them with everyone. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box, printing pictures is never a waste of time or money. If you printed a picture and it doesn’t work in a certain room or grouping, use it in another area. Memories deserve to be relived over and over again.
